Temporary Bridges Portal

This service has been created by Department for Transport and Highways England to help bridge owners find a temporary bridge solution fit for purpose, in case of bridge collapsing due to adverse weather or scour affected structures.

What this service is for

This service is in Beta and has limited functionality compared to the target end state. Today, it lists Temporary Bridge suppliers which are recommended by Highways England based on previous experience of working with them.

Over the coming months, Highways England will review and approve these suppliers as well as their solutions and this portal will offer additional features such as a list of solutions and a small questionnaire to help find a fit-for-purpose solution.
